Photo Friday - Blotto Photto
A few weeks back, Blotto had a little lull in his crazy travel schedule and we grabbed him to do a photo Friday.

We did this one kind of different from the one we did with Adam Moran though. Instead of having Blotto choose his shots, we went through his enormous catalog, and picked some of our favorite Blotto shots from last season. Then we sat him (Blotto) down, turned on the camera, and what you hear is the first thing that came to his mind when seeing them. So take a minute and watch, or listen to, each of them and get a little insight into what was going on behind the lens.

In some other snowboard business, we have some good news to report from Sas Fee. The Olympic qualifying process is a very strange beast, and not really worth explaining (you can read about here though if you want), but one of the pre-requisites is that you need a top 30 finish in a World Cup event in the last year and half. Since World Cups aren't always the choicest stops for a lot of riders, and also thanks to a broken foot, Burton rider's Kevin Pearce and Jack Mitrani still didn't have their top 30's going into yesterdays World Cup in Sas Fee. But uh, as you may have guessed since we said good news a few sentences ago, they both finished in the top 30, so their Olympic dreams are still alive and well. Kazu Kokubo won the event with fellow Burton rider Peetu Piiroinen coming in third. Yeah team!

A final note for this Friday is something for all our friends in Southern California. If you are not too busy riding Mt. High or Big Bear this Saturday (Nov. 7th) you should absolutely make sure to stop by Surfside in Costa Mesa for their 16th annual Snow Carnival. There will be lots of good deals, cool give aways, and just an all over rad scene, so yea, make sure you go.
Misty Nug: Blotto was a pro back in the day and was in a few videos. His first part was in the 1995 video "Hollywood." We may post it in a Throwback Thursday sometime soon, so stay tuned...

Part of a well balanced week of Burton blog posts officially known as "Now Read This,"
