Stoked on Saturday - An end to mud season
That photo is all muddy, and doesn’t really look that awesome at all. What’s to be stoked on about that?

If you have to ask, well then you’ve probably never really really wanted to snowboard when there is no snow. It's a curse of the fall. As soon as it starts to get cold, everyone just wants to go ride. You'll see photos and videos of places opening, or hear about a big storm about to hit somewhere, and all you can think about is doing a big pow slash, hitting a park line, or just doing any type of riding at all, but your local still just isn't open. To combat this people go to some extreme measures, and here at 80 is no different.
We have some mini stash-esq features surrounding the office, and every year around September people start carting in ice rink snow. The snow is slow, the boxes are sticky, and everything turns to mud pretty quickly, but it's enough to keep you going until the lifts start turning and is pretty fun.

While there are still only a handful of resorts open, every weekend that number is getting bigger, and pretty soon we will all be riding... or at least riding on something other than mud.
Misty Nug: Come ride at Killington today, they just opened. Also, in case you were wondering, between October 31st and November 3rd of 1991 Duluth, Minnesota received 36.9 inches of snow.
