Techknow Tuesday - Things you should have known in 2009
Now that 2009 is pretty much over, these are a few of the things you should have known about... last year.

Every year has its tricks. One minute you've never seen or heard of a hard way pineapple smoothie (not an actual trick..) and the next everyone is doing them all over the place. Get on these gems early in the year and you are sure to impress like every chick (or dude) that crosses your path. Not that this helps now, but last year was all about pole jams, and stalefishes.

If you could do all this at once, you might have like, totally got the first part in a Variety Pack video (like Alex Andrews in that first photo). But uh... to do a poll jam, just go real fast, and to do a stalefish just grab with your back hand between your legs and turn it sideways. Done. Now that you have that covered, its time to start thinking of the future.
Hard to say what 2010 will be all about start re-learning some old grabs, tweak a lot, and maybe you will luck out. Also, early indications are that this year will be the year of the transfer, so start looking for little transitions all over.
Misty Nug: The most tricks ever done in one air was 7.

I think my gut is too big to allow for me to appropriately grab stalefish these days... I will test my theory this coming weekend and report back.

Oh, don't get me wrong, the double cork is definetly an impressive trick, but I hate how there's always the one trick that you HAVE to do to win a comp.. I wish style counted for more..
