Special Report - Danny Davis and Kelly Clark win Mammoth Grand Prix
“Last season just having a double in a halfpipe run would have won it, now we’re doing three in a single run…”
That was what Danny had to say after taking the top spot in yesterdays Grand Prix in Mammoth. Danny threw down an amazing run, scoring a near perfect 49.2 out of 50 in his run that included THREE double corks- woah baby (watch it below). It took that near perfect score to take down Shaun White who was also riding insane- Shaun sketched out on a double mctwist on his final run in case you were wondering.

On the ladies side, not only did Kelly Clark win this event but by winning she also secured her spot on the Olympic team and will be going to her third Olympics. Yeah Kelly! Hannah Teter also bounced back from her shoulder injury at the last Grand Prix to finish second. Maddie and Ellery also rode well finishing in 6th and 7th respectively. While all the riding that happened yesterday was pretty amazing, the support for Kevin Pearce from everyone there was equally amazing. Kevin was injured on New Years eve while training for this event in Utah. Just last night doctors moved Kevin from critical to serious condition and while they insist he has a long recovery ahead of him, they are happy with the progress he has been making. A facebook page has been created to keep everyone updated on his status, so click here and send some good vibes Kevin's way.
