Throwback Thursday - Logos
A logo is a pretty big deal.

Without actually saying much (in words), a logo says a lot about whatever it's representing. For many people, a logo gives the first impression of a brand or a product, and can be a big determining factor in the success of that brand or product… so yea, it’s a pretty big deal.
Since ’77 Burton has lot of different logos, there was a long time when we would totally redesign our logo(s) every year. Just like with anything, there were some really cool ones, and a few that might have been cool at the time, but seem pretty weird now. Check out pretty much every logo ever above, and check a few of our favorites below.

These ones are all from 1994. The Terje Swords, Brushie logos (that guy with the hat on), and the Kelly logos are all from those dudes respective promodels from 94. The question marks are from the Ouija Twin.

All these ones are from 1995. A lot of these were car inspired, and you may notice that some look similar to old Chevron, MG, and Cadillac logos, pretty cool.
Misty Nug: The largest piece of gold ever found was 630 pounds.

Part of a well balanced week of Burton blog posts, officially known as "Now Read This,"
Throwback Thursday is a little piece of snowboard history every Thursday.

As a graphic designer, I'd have to say that this is my favorite update so far. Just like the products that Burton has put out over the years, the artwork and branding has always been powerful enough to make a strong impact on consumers and competing companies. I'd say that at least half of these logos are burned into my memory. I'm probably not the only one. My favorite... the original B-13

You guys should start releasing stickers of these again. My favorite is the late 90's/early 2000's script logo with the interlocking "UR".
