Killington Opening Day
Opening days can be a gamble. Sometimes you get the ridiculous parades of people all decked out and ready to peacock around in their new gear, add to that a healthy dose of snow guns blasting you in the face the whole way down while you're braving temps somewhere in the teens and your mood can quickly sour.
But for those that made it to Killington today that was most certainly not the case. Nothing but sunny skies, mid 40 temps, mellow crowds and practically no lines at any of the lifts. Toss in a rail jam at the base of the mountain to keep the jibbers at bay and it was nothing but lap after lap of good times and good snow. Many of us made the trek down from BTV since nothing has opened up in the northern half of VT. Brian, Pat, Lauren and I met up first run and ran top to bottom laps non-stop, all day. Thanks Killington for starting our season off proper!!
p.s. Sorry for all the scenic shots...we were having too much fun to try and post up and capture any action. And check homey's car....got stickers??
